Purchase Meals 4 Health and Healing meals
We offer meals to clients and their caregivers who have completed the initial 12 weeks of the Meals 4 Health and Healing program.
For this service, we charge a nominal fee of $10 per person per week. For a family of 4 for one week, the cost is only $40. Each person in the household receives 8 nourishing, immune-boosting meals that gluten, sugar, and diary free.
An example of a weeks worth of meals is Organic Mineral Broth, Organic Vegetable Minestrone Soup, Organic Blackened Cod with Mango Salsa Rice, Organic Stewed Okra & Tomatoes, Organic Teriyaki Vegetables, Organic Honey Mustard Chicken Tenders, and Organic Breadless Panzanella Salad.
Nourishing Our Community
The Heimerdinger Foundation provides and delivers organic, nutrient-dense meals and nutrition education free of charge to people facing cancer through its signature Meals 4 Health and Healing program. Every week, we serve approximately 800 nutrient-dense servings to nearly 100 cancer patients and their caregivers so that those going through cancer treatment can focus on healing. Our meals, based on a plant-forward menu, are immune boosting and anti-inflammatory. Our clients share with us that this gift of food is a critical source to their healing and that the nutrition education we provide inspires a transformational journey in how they learn to nourish themselves. Food is medicine and is a source of comfort and connection as well.
Along with this mission is the priority of youth development. As we engage teen volunteers in joining our Meals 4 Health and Healing team, we provide nutrition education, cooking skills, knowledge around meal preparation, leadership skills, and the importance of giving back to the community.
Meals 4 Health and Healing was designed after the Ceres Community Project of Sonoma County, California.
