Other Ways to Give

Matching Gifts

If your company has a matching gifts program, your gift to The Heimerdinger Foundation could be doubled or even tripled. Some companies even provide matching gifts for volunteer hours. Please check with your employer’s Human Resources Department for specific information or to request a Matching Gifts Form. This is perhaps the simplest way to make your gift to go further!

Stock Transfers

Gifts of stock, especially long-term appreciated stock, provide benefits to The Heimerdinger Foundation and to you. We can put your funds to work immediately, and you can gift appreciated assets (and usually avoid tax on the gain), receive the regular charitable income tax deduction if you itemize your taxes, and claim a tax deduction for the full fair market value (rather than the cost value) of your stock if you have owned the securities for more than one year.

Give Stock through Electronic Funds Transfer: Advise your broker to transfer stock to The Heimerdinger Foundation. Call (615) 730-5632 for more information or email at nan.zierden@hfmeals.org

Give through the direct delivery of Stock: Deliver actual stock certificates and stock powers to The Heimerdinger Foundation. Please consult your tax advisor to make sure that you maximize your gift and your deduction in accordance with the current tax laws.

If you do any shopping on Amazon, you can support The Heimerdinger Foundation with the purchases you make! Simply visit smile.amazon.com and designate The Heimerdinger Foundation as your charity of choice. 0.5% of your eligible AmazonSmile purchase will be donated to our foundation!
